Flying Out To Anaheim

 Flying Out To Anaheim

If you ever get serious about love don’t hesitate

Meet me at seven on Huntington Beach for our first date

We’ll have drinks at the Bungalow watching the sunset

I’ll give you tender surrender without any regret

Here I Am flying out to Anaheim

I’m headed to the scene of the crime

Oooh, where can I find the perfect rhyme

There you go flying out to Anaheim

I have dreams about being a rock and roll superstar

Manic nights of delight playing my electric guitar

Writing songs about a kind of love that transcends life

That some day in some way we’ll become man and wife

Here I Am flying out to Anaheim

I’m headed to the scene of the crime

Oooh, where can I find the perfect rhyme

There you go flying out to Anaheim

The thrill of the chase merges with the glory of grace

You got a body of pure energy and a perfect face

Inside a heart that burns with a warmth of compassion

No idle hands you understand loves in the action

Here I Am flying out to Anaheim

I’m headed to the scene of the crime

Oooh, where can I find the perfect rhyme

There you go flying out to Anaheim

We are all playing our part but we get to decide a thing or two

Destiny be damned against the odds against the gods I chose you

Look at heaven above I won’t let the stars determine my fate

We are born to die some are crucified and baby I ain’t got time to wait

Running down the Garden Grove bursting free from my chains

There are answers to questions but nothing ever explains

But in your kiss there is a bliss I cannot forget

I’m flying to Anaheim cause you’re the winning bet

Here I Am flying out to Anaheim

I’m headed to the scene of the crime

Oooh, where can I find the perfect rhyme

There you go flying out to Anaheim

In The End We Began

 In The End We Began

Greed was the American way but who are we

Long live Nat Turner in the land of the free

I know the Navajo share the Hopi dream

Langston Hughes sung the blues in a dismal scream

In the end we began so the saying goes

A hot kiss in the apocalypse FIREWIND blows

In the end we began and nobody knows

In the end we began if only love grows

Orange you so glad that we’re becoming great

We’re stuck behind fifteen balls all number eight

In Chicago Fred Hampton lives on the wind

Get ready for pay day it’s the wages of sin

In the end we began so the saying goes

A hot kiss in the apocalypse FIREWIND blows

In the end we began and nobody knows

In the end we began if only love grows

If I was cynical I’d mention Charles Manson

On Monday Ted Bundy was simply handsome

Neil Young lost his groove somewhere in the great divide

I’m forced to fight cause there’s nowhere left to hide

In the end we began so the saying goes

A hot kiss in the apocalypse FIREWIND blows

In the end we began and nobody knows

In the end we began if only love grows

I am a patriot defying unjust laws

Black Elk speaks and Moses had flaws

FIREWIND is the band of my dreams

They blew up building seven so it seems

I’d insult you but you really ain’t worth the time

Nothing worse than poets who cannot even rhyme

Ronald Raygun is burning in the pits of hell

Jesus saves I say isn’t that totally swell

In Memory of Russell Means

In Memory of Russell Means

A champion of the oppressed

In blessing blessed

Darkest demons dwell inside

Doubt, despair

A warrior full of Sioux pride

Daring to care

To be a light

To fight the fight

Mother Earth

Your son returns

As in life

     As in death

           As in birth

A fire that burns

Powder Keg

Powder Keg

She’s got looks everyone wants to know

She shakes it a little and see it blow

Always on the run always on the go

All the men come again to the show

She’s a powder keg

Ready to explode

She’s a powder keg

Running down the road

She’s a powder keg

Ready to explode

Neon lights advertise sweet delight

She packs em in night after night after night

High heels cherry red and nothing more

She’s a powder keg and her TNT is pure

She’s a powder keg

Ready to explode

She’s a powder keg

Running down the road

She’s a powder keg

Ready to explode

Softly her childhood dream was born

A Rockette or better yet Broadway

By her step father her virtue was torn

Without voice and no choice a runaway

Port Authority, Forty Second Street very tough

So to survive she comes alive showing her stuff

Lust is easy true Love is rare

Hundreds of men but nobody to care

Up on the stage she’s a rage of fire

She fulfills fantasy but no one’s desire

She’s a powder keg

Ready to explode

She’s a powder keg

Running down the road

She’s a powder keg

Ready to explode

Ona Move

 Ona Move

Dedicated to those slain in the fire from sky

To the men, women and children who did die

By the hands of wicked men insane

May their sacrifice not be in vain

Pale invaders from across the sea

Democracy, we shall be free?

The Earth echoes with their cries

Mother mourns lamenting their lies

Red men in peace and harmony understood

To serve the Creator we must do good

A brutal winter to survive

Indians in Love kept them alive

And to repay the kindness done

Each pilgrim picked up a gun

And to those not blown away

Gotta move gotta move this day

All in God’s name

Evil they proclaim

It’s a shame

Still I insist and say

Ona Move Ona Move this day

Arrogant minds lusting for power

A darkness of scourge to devour

Men stolen from African home

Chained on ships to terrors unknown

Victims of a diabolical plan

Beasts of burden transformed from man

Beaten, bound upon fields of cotton

Agonies the system insists be forgotten

And when the chains of iron fell

Chattel slavery deformed to a different hell

No forty acres and a mule

A little better but still infinitely cruel

The master of the opulent plantation

Shares no wealth only tales of salvation

So to those emancipated as they earnestly pray

Gotta move gotta move this day

All in God’s name

Evil they proclaim

It’s a shame

Still I insist and say

Ona Move Ona Move this day

From history that makes no sense

A hypothetical pretense

That we have an unalienable right

To say and do as we might

So we gather, build and organize

What we create they come to despise

For tyrants live in castles of sand

To be washed away when we understand

So John Africa with brilliant mind

Opened his eyes to truths to find

That the government is a slave to money

And humanity is robbed by technology

So to flourish we should live simple

And forsake the nonsense that clutters the soul

Yet darkness seeks to extinguish light

In Philadelphia came many a fight

Until in the city of brotherly love

They dropped a bomb from the sky above

Only Ramona and a child to survive

But from the ashes the dream stays alive

When you kill with a uniform its okay?

Gotta move gotta move this day

All in God’s name

Evil they proclaim

It’s a shame

Still I insist and say

Ona Move Ona Move this day

They lie about everything under the sun

Especially the evil they have done

Still there is something to prove

Ona Move Ona Move

Move from hate

Move from useless debate

Move from science

Move from technological reliance

Move from greed

Move I plead

Move indeed

Move from war

Move from Babylon the Whore

I’ll say it once more

For I am sure

There is something to prove

Ona Move Ona Move

Move to peace

Move to release

Move to being kind

Move to free our mind

Move to see

Move to being free

Move to God above

Most of all Move to Love

There is something to prove

Ona Move Ona Move

When we Move in this land

When we come to understand

Wicked powers will die

Empty demons tossed from the sky

I cannot Move for you

It’s something we all must do

Be true

And know in all we go through

Love will renew

Love will renew

Love will renew

There is something to prove

Ona Move Ona Move

Darkness shall decay

Ona Move Ona Move this day

No force shall make us stray

Ona Move Ona Move this day

For we too come in God’s name

We too have a message to proclaim

Our prophecies are not the same

We do not blame

Come the sun, see it rise

Look with your own eyes

Dawn’s first ray

Ona Move Ona Move this day

Night is turning to day

Ona Move that’s what we all say

Ona Move Ona Move this day

Prove what we got to prove

Ona Move

Jupitar

Jupitar

To EXPERIENCE Jupitar

I promised you our first stop would be Jupitar.

Jupitar

I want to go to Jupitar
Jupitar
Do you think there’s war
On Jupitar, Jupitar
We could have a cosmic cruise
If we loose we loose

I want to go to Jupitar
Jupitar
Way up on a star
That’s where the good ones are
On Jupitar, Jupitar

Captain John and his merry band
Would sure like to lend a hand
On Jupitar
You can be a star
Dance up on the bar
We all know where we are
It’s Jupitar

Touch down landing
Are you understanding
We’re in heaven high
On Jupitar in the sky
If you search you’ll find
Jupitar is a state of mind

Let’s all go to Jupitar
Jupitar
Ain’t no hardship or war
On Jupitar, Jupitar
Let’s take that cosmic cruise
Ain’t no way we can loose

A Poet’s Words

 A Poet’s Words

If I was a sage

I’d say something wise

If I was the devil

I’d whisper sweet little lies

If I was a prophet

I’d tell of things to be

If I was your master
I’d set you free

If I was a singer

I would sing you a song

If I was a judge

I’d forgive you of your wrong

But I am just a poet

Simple and plain

So I won’t say anything

Because words are vain

Mammy

Mammy

Mother wasn’t always old

Wide eyed children aglow

How could they know

Unless they are told

Husshhhhhh and listen

To our wisdom

See Momma’s face dark as night

Your skin paler, more white

You see momma was once a slave

She had to behave

Or the mastah would kill

Either way

They say

He would have his will

Victorian queen frigid as snow

It won’t hurt what she don’t know

Besides why would the princess care

If she was aware

The fine Methodist preacher does declare

Africans are animals in despair

So mastah having a little fun

Wouldn’t hurt anyone

And if Mommy would speak

Mastah wouldn’t turn the other cheek

Death on the whipping post

A deed most

Cruel

But to those that rule

At that time

It wasn’t even a crime

So momma didn’t even utter a single breath

For fear of death

She just laid it upon God on high

In a silent cry

Why God, oh why?!!?

The torture and pain

The guilt driving her insane

A dirty feeling never to be clean

His curses cold his compliments obscene

The sick smile upon his lips

The pain between her hips

Dejection

And then rejection

From Momma’s real man

Unable, refusing to understand

Momma did the best she could

See children, from evil came good

Have no fear

Momma loves you dear

Cept every day when she sees your eyes blue

It cuts as if raped anew

But Jesus never done no sin

And look what they did to him

My God, My God why have you forsaken me?

Momma understands that totally

Too well

All the truths of hell

But there’s victory, have no fear

In the one who can hear

Words that have never been uttered

For the heart is discovered

And Momma’s heart is devoted to her children

After all we’re all conceived in sin

The Babies Of Fallujah

The Babies Of Fallujah

Ain’t on glory in war cause its living hell

There’s depleted uranium in the artillery shell

How dare they fight to defend their land

We’ll give them a lesson they’ll understand

The babies of Fallujah hear them cry

The babies of Fallujah see them die

Gringo comes to kill never asking why

The babies of Fallujah hear them cry

There’s oil a plenty in that desert waste

We got freedom so lets give them a taste

Cowboy junkies addicted to endless war

The United States called Babylon the Whore

The babies of Fallujah hear them cry

The babies of Fallujah see them die

Gringo comes to kill never asking why

The babies of Fallujah hear them cry

Our favorite pastime is learning how to kill

We say we love Jesus but we don’t do God’s will

Bow down to the golden calf great is our greed

There’s a price to pay so we’ll make you bleed

The babies of Fallujah hear them cry

The babies of Fallujah see them die

Gringo comes to kill never asking why

The babies of Fallujah hear them cry

And its bombs bombs bombs away

Oh Lord Lucifer it’s a glorious day

And its bombs bombs bombs away

And the babies of Fallujah are the ones to pay

In the rubble of Fallujah so few survive

They give thanks and praise just to be alive

Life goes on but mutated babies are born

See the babies of Fallujah hear the mothers mourn

The babies of Fallujah hear them cry

The babies of Fallujah see them die

Gringo comes to kill never asking why

The babies of Fallujah hear them cry

Bennet’s Song

Bennet’s Song

Maplewood New Jersey sun on the rise

News on the radio full of lies

Warming the coffee eyes so weary

Even the blind can see things clearly

One giant leap in the wrong direction

The poor and hungry need protection

Divided we fall united we fight

Don’t forget every day begins with light

What the world needs is old fashion wisdom

Love will conquer materialism

But slogans are empty without deeds

We have to share and meet all our needs

One giant leap in the wrong direction

The poor and hungry need protection

Divided we fall united we fight

Don’t forget every day begins with light

Lessons of history let them guide our song

Together as one we become strong

So pick your heroes wisely my friend

Life is a race you run till the end

One giant leap in the wrong direction

The poor and hungry need protection

Divided we fall united we fight

Don’t forget every day begins with light

Soldier of fortune battle on no more

Embrace the peace come accept the cure

The time for killing to end has come

To achieve peace we shall live as one

One giant leap in the wrong direction

The poor and hungry need protection

Divided we fall united we fight

Don’t forget every day begins with light
