Caramel Toned Woman In America

Caramel Toned Woman In America

By John Kaniecki

Tar baby?

Maybe, but if I slit your throat

That ain’t what Jesus wrote

Except that brown brother (you know our Savior)

Hip!?! WE Love one another!

But sweet Lord, a blessed reward

Would be an ounce of brains

Hey who complains?

Except the babies starving in anguished cries

And so America dies

I’m a caramel toned woman in Amerikkka

Is that coming in loud?

Is this a little 2 proud?

Come on sistah join the crowd

I kicked back with Susan B Anthony

She got a coin

And if I find a righteous revolution I’ll join

In fact, if it’s true

God bless the IWW

Sweet Jesus, molasses and honey

Church of Christ

And preachers charging a premium price

Hey, may I say, this poem is for free

Unlike me

CARAMEL TONED WOMEN IN the good old US of A

I pray

Sweet Lord Jesus on my knees

Crawling with the cockroaches in sadistic slimy disease

Please

Oh please, please, please

I ain’t joking in my pleas

Etc. etc. etc.

Turn the other cheek

Blessed are the meek

Think before you speak

Don’t take me as weak

I’ll humble myself to die for the cause

And as Paul, I recall, used all the laws

A Roman Citizen and pharisee of pharisees

Strategies

Like playing checkers with chess pieces

Munkeishia Jackson

She got the righteous action

Caramel toned woman in America

A black Israelite ain’t my delight

I see the light

I am the light

I will not fight

With fists and knives

Faith survives

Tested and tried

My Lord, My Lord!

Crucified!

No matter the color of your skin

You are guilty of sin

Understand every losing hand is a loss

Victory

Only in the cross

I walked on the edge of a Mountain

Baptized in the seas of agony

I saw the stars of glory shining pure

Crushed by the iron crucifix

I could take no more

No more

What’s the cents?

Billions for defense

And then, at the final amen

I was born again

And again, and again, again

The Lord provided the Lamb

The great I Am

Carmel toned woman in America

Just who you are?

A shooting star?

So clever falling forever

Never

To deny or shame

The holy name

Jesus above all

In the emptiness of the wilderness I scream the call

Jesus above all

And who am I?

To live or to die

In the whispery dream of the fanatic’s scream

In this poetic lesson I’m a coming to ya

Sunset Sonnet 7

 Sunset Sonnet 7

You are sleeping I wonder of your dreams

Rest my love tomorrow comes very soon

Life is a mystery not as it seems

The sun is setting come welcome the moon

You shall awake with God’s gentle kindness

Your hour of departure it draws near

Death shall come sharing its traitorous kiss

We are not immortal I see it clear

Your breath is strong life is pulsating

Your rest is temporary until morn

For you to awake I’ll be awaiting

To share with you a day yet to be born

Let us fill ourselves with jubilant joy

Love is a righteousness none can destroy

Ali

 Ali

By John Kaniecki

Ali

Such fame

He had but one name

Ali

And the world was never the same

Jack Johnson was long gone

King of the ring

Who was this dude so young?

With a wicked jab and sharper tongue

Don’t you dare say Cassius Clay

It’s Muhammad Ali

Float like a butterfly sting like a bee

Mighty Sonny Liston overcome

And the list had just begun

Unjust undeclared war raged

“The Vietnam war is the White Man sending the Black man to kill the Yellow man to defend the land they stole from the Red man:”

And ain’t it the truth?

Wisdom from a youth!

Stripped of his title

Forbidden to practice his trade

Despite all the evil

A legend was made

Ali

Say it again

Ali

He stood up for you and stood up for me

In the process making history

For tough men they come and go

But Ali, he was a hero

Lament For Libya

One of the most despicable things the ‘west’ has ever done was the destruction of Libya. The Colonel was a dedicated man who wanted to unite all Africa for the betterment of the world. He was rewarded with a sword shoved up his anus. The Colonel didn’t put up a fight overwhelmed by the cowardly bastards of Europe and the united states. In life, I was taught not to be a bully.

All this came under President Obama’s watch. Now Libya has slavery. I will go as far to say our first black president sold out the country to the point of becoming an uncle tom. He never closed Guantanamo bay. Now he kicks back a multi-millionaire giving speeches to wall street executives to the tune of millions. Our historic first ‘black’ president has spit in the face of the poor and oppressed.

Whenever I meet a panhandler asking for spare change I say ask Obama He promised change. They start cursing but I am not aware who they are cursing me the revolutionary or Obama the traitor.

 Lament For Libya

We can decide our destiny

We must fight until we are free

Don’t speak your lies of deviltry

We understand our history

Libya jewel of the Mediterranean Sea

NATO the cruel sin of hypocrisy

Gaddafi a prophetic visionary

See the flames burning in agony

When we rise to emancipate

So gather the hawks of hate

Freedom or death is the choice

On to the grave I do rejoice

Libya jewel of the Mediterranean Sea

NATO the cruel sin of hypocrisy

Gaddafi a prophetic visionary

See the flames burning in agony

Libya a chapter in the book of pain

Written by bankers sadistically insane

Between man and gold, they decide

They take all and deliver genocide

Drops of rain fall from the sky

Rivers are raging swelling high

There are forces you can’t deny

That is what we are you and I

Libya jewel of the Mediterranean Sea

NATO the cruel sin of hypocrisy

Gaddafi a prophetic visionary

See the flames burning in agony

Hear the ancients they speak no lie

Speak in whispers give a cry

Our words will echo around the Earth

From the ashes comes the new birth

Libya jewel of the Mediterranean Sea

NATO the cruel sin of hypocrisy

Gaddafi a prophetic visionary

See the flames burning in agony

Western Union Rap

 Western Union Rap

By John Kaniecki

Tried to send money to Uganda man
Had me a righteous plan

Western Union said they could get the job done
I took to the computer I was on the run

Went to sleep guaranteed all was grace

Slept dreaming with smiles on my face

Woke up four thirty too hustle some more
A bad email hit me to the floor

Western Union said no go

They lied to me, that I know
Spent an hour of wasted time talking to Ali

Moments of agonized futility

I just wanted to know what went wrong

Was it the lyrics or the drums in the song?
They still don’t tell me any resolution

Here’s a cry don’t use Western Union

For The Liberty I Cry Woe

For The Liberty I Cry Woe

By John Kaniecki

She

For the Liberty

Was a ship of sea

Of finest technology

Deployed off Egypt’s shore

In international waters

During the Six Day War

Flying the red, white and blue

Everybody knew

Whom the Liberty belonged to

An Israeli jet soared in the sky

Even from way up high

They were certain and sure

That the U.S.S. Liberty

Was sailing down below

It was America’s vessel

All could tell

All did know

In a blatant act brutality

One that defies civility

The Israeli plane attacked

There was no turning back

An Israeli torpedo boat

Joined in the fray

It was a most miserable day

Thirty four Americans died

But no words foul were cried

For the truth was denied

President Lyndon B. Johnson

Forbid all to speak

Of what was done

On that miserable day bleak

Nineteen sixty seven, on June eight

Remember that dreadful date

Of to Malta the Liberty went

She was bandaged to present

An outright lie

So none would ask ‘why?’

Then to Norfolk Virginia she sailed

She was decommissioned

All while her crew silently wailed

Finally she was sold for scrap

While the crew was caught in a trap

They could not tell their story

They could not share the shame

For America sold her glory

And refused to give proper blame

The crew of the USS LIBERTY

Will never forget

That day in infamy when

"God kept the USS LIBERTY afloat"

And thus Philip Tourney wrote

I have presented to you the truth

I have presented to you the lie

Truth will always win the day

That is why we pray

And thus now you know

Why

For the Liberty I cry woe

Silent Cries

 Silent Cries

The story of King Leopold is being retold

They barter innocent souls for the price of gold

And don’t you know it’s the same as yesterday

The powers that be simply look away

Can you hear our silent cries (silent cries)?

Congo the heart of Africa slowly dies

They say they care they speak many lies

Oh, why don’t you answer our silent cries?

As long as they get their money let the people be damned

They’re raping the women while stealing the land

For the wealth in the ground the armies are here

Forces of terror they deal the devil’s fear

Can you hear our silent cries (silent cries)?

Congo the heart of Africa slowly dies

They say they care they speak many lies

Oh, why don’t you answer our silent cries?

From the history of man the lessons are learned

As a human being you should be concerned

When your brother perishes in genocide

For the love of God you must choose a side

What would you do if it happened to you?

Tomorrow the nightmare could come true

The holocaust it never comes to an end

Until we embrace all humanity as friend

Can you hear our silent cries (silent cries)?

Congo the heart of Africa slowly dies

They say they care they speak many lies

Oh, why don’t you answer our silent cries?

The river flows red from the blood of the slain

Greed is the evil deed that drives man insane

We must stop the tide peace can’t be denied

In Congo once more the pure are crucified

Can you hear our silent cries (silent cries)?

Congo the heart of Africa slowly dies

They say they care they speak many lies

Oh why don’t you answer our silent cries?

Mother Teresa a Poem By John Kaniecki

Mother Teresa

By John Kaniecki

A saint with golden curly hair

I knew her before the war when we believed in prayer

Laughing kicking back without a crimson care

And then the years, fears and tears

Like shadow hawks appears

God knows evil nears

Still in the still God has his will

And on lonely Calvary time stood

Evil for good

Two thieves one on the left one on the right

The criminals nailed with a fight

But passive was the King of Kings

As hammer meeting nails

Hear the impale as the rhyming chiming wails

Get it out of your head

I recall Christ said

To love one another

Sister,

Brother,

The stranger in danger too

And funny honey I love you

It’s just the thing to do

Teresa you have grown

And you are known

In these words, immortal as your soul

Peace and justice a sacred secret goal

And you knew me when I was full of debate

Hated and a victim of hate

But I told Satan to wait

And saw in the simple what was great

But this is your poem so let me utter sugar candies sweet

Rise to the skies the phoenix knows no defeat

In the heart of Africa in the Congo is rape

Only through peace is there escape

The world is dying

The children are crying

And Christ once more crucifying.

A silver comb for your curls

The prettiest of the little girls

Spin the bottle and there is not a hint of shame

As this moment passes nothing is the same

Saint Teresa mother so kind

I wish you peace of mind

I am extremely proud of my granddaughter Mareze. She is attending medical school in Grenada. I wrote a poem to always remember that a doctor is first a servant of the people.

Mister Greed

by John Kaniecki

Mangy Mareze meandered the mystical maze

Today a day unlike all other days

A confusion of craze

Heart pumping furiously

Crimson blood flowed

Her pattering feet slowed

Before her was a door steadfast and secure

Fashioned of fine oak with a knocker of brass

A sight one might not pass

Without giving a second look

Like cryptic writing in a secret book

Mareze was lost counting the cost

Her hopes hampered in holocaust

She had nothing to lose

Save her sad song of endless blues

So up to the door just gave a push

But not an inch did it move

So Mareze put her whole weight on the portal

And pushed as if she was Hercules

Or some other strong immortal

The hinges creaked

And in delight Mareze shrieked

With double effort

Pushing for all that she was worth

She dug in her feet

Not accepting defeat

Slowly fraction by fraction

The door moved to Mareze’s satisfaction

So just to be sure
She pushed some more

Like a Champagne cork exploding

The door flew open

And Mareze went rolling in

At first stumbling

Than tumbling tumbling tumbling

Like a gymnast doing somersaults

Until she came to a halt

Mareze looked up to behold

A massive mountain of gold!

Stunned beyond belief

She sat their until she heard a cry

“A thief! A thief!”

There is the distance tiny to the eye

Small like a dismal fly

Sat an odd man

Naked as the day of his birth

His arms were thin as sin
His belly fat as a kettle

His skin silvery metal

On his face a wicked grin

His hand was extended pointing with his finger

He gave a massive shout

“What do you want in here?”

Though the man was not near

Mareze quaked in fear.
“Oh good sir I need your help indeed”
