Drone Man

Drone Man

My favorite pit bull Clarence

His savage sharp teeth

Protrudes from his drooling mouth

Mimicking a Lion in starved rage

Carefully, cautiously

We go on a pleasant stroll

Over green hills and through

Valleys of yellow laughing lilies

His studded leather collar sturdy

The short leash tautly secure

We arrive at the Blue Lagoon

Flocks of diverse birds gather

Joyful choirs singing glorious poetic choruses

I flash a picture before Clarence

An image of the suspected target duck

Sketched personally with my presidential pen

I tie a sacred red, white and blue bandana

Over my pit bull’s bulging eyes

Effectively blinding him

I remove all restraints

I issue stern and proper binding orders

“Go and Kill!!!” I bark out

Off he rides into the sunset

Moments later Clarence returns

Colorful feathers fill his obedient mouth

SO NOT SORRY!!!

Our suspected terrorists

Was a family on the way to a wedding!?!

Welcome to the world of collateral damage

Thank Allah it was in Yemen

Cause if that shit happened here

We would Nuke Em.

Edgar and the Hard Facts of Life

Edgar and the Hard Facts of Life

At the train station

SUN peeping in the SKY

Edgar has a sensation!

To end it all and die

And he don’t know why,

                                      And he don’t know why,

And he don’t know why,

His whole life is a               LIE

But he’s getting bye

And as the TRAIN comes near

There’s great tension and FEAR

That he’ll JUMP ahead

Before the TRAIN

And wind up DEAD

                                FUTILE AND VAIN

Poor Edgar sold his soul

For an office with a view

But he’s miserable

Doesn’t even have a clue

His fundamental flaw

He dare not mention

For he is in AWE

MONEY, MONEY, MONEY

He pimps out his mind

Life left him behind

Of that he is sure

Empty Coffins

 Empty Coffins

Queen of the dream yesterday don’t belong

Been in the scream crucifying my wrong

Sinful sharks like a dog barks in greed

In the Land Of Plenty so many in need

Did you love me when the song turned sad?

When life went all wrong and I burned mad

Empty coffins they wait for us all

Empty coffins they beckon and call

Endless war rages money men to blame

Burning cities refugees full of shame

Soldiers kiss their wives maybe goodbye

Don’t you know brother we’re fighting for a lie

Did you love me when the song turned sad?

When life went all wrong and I burned mad

Empty coffins they wait for us all

Empty coffins they beckon and call

I’m betrayed by friends cheated by strangers

A world of illusion I see dangers

Do your best then try to take a rest

Happiness is a never ending quest

Did you love me when the song turned sad?

When life went all wrong and I burned mad

Empty coffins they wait for us all

Empty coffins they beckon and call

You’re standing at death’s door ready to leave

There’s something better I gotta believe

Where is true Love when you need God most?

Where is my true Love when she’s only a ghost?

Did you love me when the song turned sad?

When life went all wrong and I burned mad

Empty coffins they wait for us all

Empty coffins they beckon and call

Jitterbugging With Jezebel

 Jitterbugging With Jezebel

One two three four

Dancing sweetly on the floor

Take you partner twist her round

Hold her tightly on the ground

One two three four

Soldiers marching off to war

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!

Cinderella riding your pumpkin coach

And shoes that snugly fit

Fairy tail propaganda

Counterfeit

Insatiable - psychotic politicians pondering power

Starvation - junkyard dog gnawing at a tin can

Desperation -  gruesome wallflower lusting for a prom date

Longing for more ---

One two three four

Soldiers marching off to war

Wait they've used that line before

Say hey whispers Uncle Sam

Don't you know who I Am?

I'm the red, white and blue

Got stars in my eyes too

and I WANT YOU!

There was a man so mild and meek

Who taught us love and to turn the cheek

In his name they love to speak

The sky is gray and the future bleak

One two three four

Bankers divvying up the score

Poetry has become irrelevant

Says the preacher quoting psalms

God has become irrelevant

Mocks mammon making bombs

One two three four

 POLISHED FRAGMENTS

Poet To The Poor

I Am Aleena

I Am Aleena

Hear my voice I am the advocate of the poor

I sing for freedom I sing against war

Mother Africa she will rise as before

Good times are near knocking on the door

I am Aleena from the Uganda wild

I am Aleena an African child

I fight for all yearning to be free

I am Aleena the champion of liberty

My hands are busy planting the seeds

We must work hard to meet our needs

I shall not go down without a fight

We are the generation to make it right

I am Aleena from the Uganda wild

I am Aleena an African child

I fight for all yearning to be free

I am Aleena the champion of liberty

I want you to sing this song with me

I want you to walk by my side

I want you to sing this song with me

Africa is our mother say it with pride

We shall build temples for the God of Love

He will answer with blessing from above

The Almighty will smile and turn the page

We are walking to a blessed age

I am Aleena from the Uganda wild

I am Aleena an African child

I fight for all yearning to be free

I am Aleena the champion of liberty

I Once Was a Fascist

I Once Was a Fascist

I once was a fascist

And thought I was supreme

I was presented an eternal quest

Called the American dream

I was instructed to prosper and succeed

That accomplishment was to satisfy one’s greed

That money brought eternal bliss

Wealth was something not to miss

America too was noble and grand

Far superior to any land

We never lost in war we were far too strong

And we were always right incapable of wrong

From kindergarten on I saluted the flag

And of all of our glory I would boast and brag

Then observation testified I learned a lie

Irrefutable evidence came I could not deny

And inner torment raged in my brain

The agony surged and I went insane

I once was a fascist

But that man no longer does exist

He is dead, nailed to a tree

I once was a fascist but now I am free

No Cause for Alarm

No Cause for Alarm

I always detested you

A freak by choice

Your spiked hair

And leather jacket

Picturing the Statue of Liberty

Submerged in water

As if drowning

Baring the words

That entitle this poem

I did not detest your rebellion

It intrigued me

Tantalized me

Rather how you would

Cynically mock me

For behaving

Following the rules

And I have come

To the conclusion

That you were right

Now I see

Your picture on Facebook

Your head is shaved

And a M 16

Is raised aimed to kill

And worst of all

You are not joking

I detest you still

But I have learned

An art to survival

Compassion

And so unto you

Whom I will conceal

I send you this

Love Letter

P.S.

I am straight

So there is

No Cause for Alarm
