Outer Space

Outer Space

The moon waxing high

Pass the azure blue sky

But that is but the start

The universe has a heart

Drenched in grace

Outer space

Quasars

Are raging electric guitars

A black hole

Is a wicked demon with no soul

They consume with doom

Red Dwarves and White Giants

Stand equally defiant

The speed of light is so so slow

With hyperspace I’m on the go

Maybe one day

We’ll meet intelligent life

It is abundantly clear

There’s no intelligent life down here

If there was but an ounce of sense

Massive changes would commence

We would not destroy Mother Earth

And pillage her for financial worth

Why do we yearn for the stars

When we have not learned the lessons of the pebbles

Why do we yearn for the stars

We are simply arrogant insolent rebels

If we can’t make it here

We can’t make it there

So forsake your dreams for Mars

And first heal our own scars

When we achieve peace and harmony

Then from Earth we will be set free

But until we mature

The universe will keep closed the door

Of that I am sure

So let us fix this place

Before we infest outer space
