Chumly
I submit to you humbly
To the brats of the frat
Who think they are all that
With eyes dark and glumly
Who will love Chumly?
Mugsy was a cool kid
The brothers gave him a bid
To make sure he’d come on board
His roommate Chumly
Got an invite as a sweet reward
Well Mugsy couldn’t pull his weight
And bowed out of school
But Chumly wasn’t gone
And he marched on
Some said it was a mistake
Without a doubt
Chumly had hair wild and long
The brothers, so cool of course
Faired all the worse
And thought this was so, so, so wrong
So Mark feigning friendship with a smile
Was nice to Chumly for a while
And took him to a barber
To get a clip with exquisite style
The first shall be last and the last shall be first
And as I look back over those days dark and cruel
I really don’t know who was the worst?
Or which of us was the biggest fool
I have learned kindness and the golden rule
And say today that Chumly was cool
Remember your opinion isn’t as valid as mine
I have inspiration pure and divine
And the words contained in this rhyme
Will live through the ages for all time
