Au De Restaurant (k29)
Last night I saw Jim Morison’s twin brother
It had to be him it could be none other
He was singing blues in a little French café
And boy did he sure parlez vous francais
The waiter came by and said bonjour
I pointed to my beer and said some more
Then I spotted a sweet mademoiselle
I knew she wanted me I could just tell
Au de restaurant
You got what I want
Au de restaurant
You got what I want
Well I saw mademoiselle staring at me
She came by and said je m’appelle Marie
The dame sat next to me right at the table
I tell you I was willing and able
I told her you are a beautiful lady
She looked at me and said no speaka anglais
Then she said something with the word l’armour
That word meant love I heard it before
So I hastily said my au revoir
Then I left Marie and went to the bar
Au de restaurant
You got what I want
Au de restaurant
You got what I want
I was sitting next to long dead Jim’s twin
He was drinking from a bottle of gin
He whispered no one hear gets out alive
I laughed in his face and said you’re full of jive
He gave a quick chuckle and smiled a grin
He said to me they way you talk it’s a sin
I said who appointed you God and Lord
He took a swig of gin and said no word
I was fairly drunk my head started to swim
I said Mister who do you think you are Jim
Au de restaurant
You got what I want
Au de restaurant
You got what I want
Yes all that stuff happened to my yesterday
At a French place called the Dead Man’s café
They got what you want
Au de restaurant
