Falling On A Neutron Star By John Kaniecki
Falling On A Neutron Star
By John Kaniecki
Heavy metal
Foot all the way on the pedal
Playing electric guitar
All the while
With a smile
I’m falling on a neutron star
I’m falling on a neutron star
Deep density
Immense gravity
I am of great concern
I will never return
In life you can only go so far
Falling on a neutron star
I was out in my rocket ship
Giving the galaxy the slip
Took a wrong turn at the quasar
Now I’m falling on a neutron star
I was looking out for the black hole
But I won’t make it too far
Oh have pity on this poor soul
Falling on a neutron star
Ah the plight
Of intergalactic flight
It’s all bizarre
Falling on a neutron star

Hiroshima by John Kaniecki
I recall a discussion with somebody from the Church of Christ. I contended the command to love, not only our neighbor but our enemy as well forbids a Christian to participate in war. This ‘brother’ objected. Never mind the Bible says “they won’t study war no more.” So trying to keep an open mind I watched a video presented by this brother of another brother in the Church of Christ. This video twisted scriptures where it said that the attack with atomic bombs was not only acceptable but also pleasing to God.
We as human beings must organize and resist to fight this blight called 'war'. It is absurd the nuclear weapons were built in the first place.
Hiroshima
The day the sun kissed the Earth
Agony and despair in twin birth
Thousands incinerated
The logic debated
All for the greater cause
We transgress God's laws
Cruel death of burning flame
The world never to be the same
For the door was kicked in
A baptism of fire
A surging of sin
At the brink of apocalypse
Hear the reaper hiss
Bush the button red
And we'll all wind up dead!

The Mushroom Musical By John Kaniecki
For
your reading entertainment.
The Mushroom Musical
By John Kaniecki
People, people, people
Huddled cold
Young and old
Under the church steeple
Envying the mouse
For his fine, fine house
No angelic choir
Only croaking frogs
And barking dogs
Scaring the kitty cats
While mothers admonish
Their spoiled brats
Cursing words obscene
We are all awaiting the creature green
To enter the scene
With tail a wagging
Where is the dragon?
Sometimes the truth is lies
Just ask the flies
For their alibis
They will blame the wizards
For casting spells
Or horrific lizards
Raging hells
Here’s something new
A goat dancing with an emu
Now silence permeates
As everybody awaits
In enters the milk cow
We have frozen him somehow
For in our dream
We are hoping for ice cream
Ah the illusion softly dies
As we all melt into butterflies
That’s all I can recall
Of The Mushroom Musical

Cat's Whisper song by Dave Flagman lyrics by John Kaniecki
Dave Flagman has done me the great service of putting some of my lyrics to music. Well, that’s not really correct; rather he used my lyrics for his existing music. Our relationship began when I responded to an advertisement by on Facebook. Dave was looking for somebody to work with his music. I quickly knocked out thirty-three lyrics in several days.
Working this way was different than creating a lyric from nothing. Now I had not only the music but the title of the song as well. These limitations only enhanced the creative process. You can see that Dave tweaked the lyrics with minor changes. I am a firm believer in synergy and think he improved the song.
I am looking forward to hearing what Dave is going to do with the other lyrics I gave him. I expect great things out of Dave, he's a young man with a lot of potential.
The Cats Whisper
She’s strolling just like she’s the queen
The solitary star of the movie screen
She’s a perfect ten just short heaven’s high
Everybody notices her as she walks on by
The cat’s whisper is soft and meek
Say mister turn the other cheek
Everybody listen’s when you speak
The cat’s whisper is soft and meek
Her man own the banks and much more
He’s the rude dude who creates war
Some say she’s nothing but a high class whore
But they can’t pay the fee that’s for sure
The cat’s whisper is soft and meek
Say mister turn the other cheek
Everybody listens when you speak
The cat’s whisper is soft and meek
Her furs have pearls see the diamonds shine
Of all the girls I wish that she was mine
Sexual wonderful I’d die just for one try
Fantasy may be glorious but it’s a lie
The cat’s whisper is soft and meek
Say mister turn the other cheek
Everybody listens when you speak
The cat’s whisper is soft and meek
Her head don’t turn to check out the scene
She just slips into her black limousine
A puff of smoke and the tires they squeal
All the men wonder if what they saw was real
The cat’s whisper is soft and meek
Say mister turn the other cheek
Everybody listens when you speak
The cat’s whisper is soft and meek
I am always looking for somebody to collaborate with. If you have music please feel free to get in touch with me. It doesn’t matter what level you’re on. You can see a lot of great and diverse stuff in my book of song lyrics “Without The Music”.

"Madre No More" by John Kaniecki
This was written before the talk about the wall but it is more poignant today. The idea of tearing children away from their parents and the exploitation of undocumented workers never grows old.
Madre No More
by John Kaniecki
What is this insanity?
What is life for?
Mothers belong with children
Of that I am sure
You stole these lands
Concocted devilish rules
With harsh demands
You play us as fools
Deported
Dismissed
Banished
A child, in agony hear her cry,
Why?
Why oh why?
When we clean your house,
It is fine
When we slave in your sweatshops
That is divine
If we tend to your children
There is no sin
When we care for the aged
It is tolerated
But when there is no longer a use
Comes the cold foot of abuse
So long senorita out the door
And to your child
Madre no more

"Inner Toil A Of Rapid Cycle Bipolar" by John Kaniecki
The world of mental illness is wide and broad. It does not discriminate but inflicts all equally. There are of course many who are vilely sick who gravitate to positions of power and control, whether it is the teacher on a power trip or politicians with super inflated egos.
Some form of mental illness is so severe that the person’s behavior is so unacceptable that there is no alternative to a hospital stay. In my years of struggle with bipolar, I have seen many others who were terribly ill. This poem is about rapid cyclers.
Inner Toil A Of Rapid Cycle Bipolar
By John Kaniecki
I can I tell
Of the rollercoaster from Hell
Down then up
Thirsty with an overflowing cup
Demons shout
An angel sings
It is all about
Swift mood swings
Full of distortion
In massive proportion
King of the universe
Then crushed by the curse
Sometimes the high is fun
But when the crashes come
Suicidal temptations
Where is salvation?
All the while
From frown to smile
In times when I contemplate
Comes the self hate
Fighting the undeniable dignity
Common of all humanity
The ultimate damned Holy Roller
Inner toil of a rapid cycle bipolar
Take a tour into the world
of mental illness and see a human being. Please check out my book “More ThanThe Madness.”
