Ellsworth Song Lyric by John Kaniecki

Ellsworth

The road goes on forever

Riding till the fifth of never

Looking for my city of gold

Just another lie you told

Ellsworth you’re out there

Somewhere somewhere

Ellsworth you’re out there

You’re why I still believe in prayer

Ellsworth you’re out there

Somewhere somewhere

I believe that dreams came true

I say the day I met you

Now the sky doesn’t look so blue

What’s a poor boy to do

Except to bear all his hurt

And cry out for Ellsworth

Ellsworth you’re out there

Somewhere somewhere

Ellsworth you’re out there

You’re why I still believe in prayer

Ellsworth you’re out there

Somewhere somewhere

I ain’t got a treasure map to use

Only a handful of clever clues

In the seeking one is created

Your Love Ellsworth can’t be debated

You gave even when you were hated

You gave and the world celebrated

Ellsworth you’re out there

Somewhere somewhere

Ellsworth you’re out there

You’re why I still believe in prayer

Ellsworth you’re out there

Somewhere somewhere

Courage Compassion Peace

Courage Compassion Peace

By John Kaniecki

Dogs of war
Bark in the dark
Babylon the Whore
Comes with the Beast’s mark
Hatred is on the increase
But wrong is always wrong
So stay strong
Courage, compassion, peace
For all the darkness of the universe
Cannot diminish a solitary flame
And the foulest curse
Cannot rebuke a holy name
Courage is truly a light
The fortitude to do what is right
No matter what the cost
Even if all is lost
With compassion
Love’s best lesson
Can never cease
Bringing the fruit of perfect peace
Yes we can reach the sky
But only if we try
So live a life of Love
And we shall reach above
If in your life there is worth
We can bring some heaven to Earth

A Final Prayer at my Lynching

A Final Prayer at my Lynching

By John Kaniecki

My only crime the color of my skin
Look inside and see your sin
The gallows rope cuts my throat
Coarse fibers bite
I have strength scarce to fight
But please make note
God takes no pleasure in your wicked deeds
And evil never succeeds
One day your cities shall burn
One day the red man will return
And then you’ll learn
The wages of sin is death
The noose tightens cutting off all air
I am victorious I have not one more care
Pay heed to the words of my last breath
For though my life is through
My words ring true
And as I sway in the air
Allmighty God hears my prayer
God is a God of mercy yes it is true
But God is a God of justice too
Hear the words of my final prayer
And beware

R-E-V-O-L-U-T-I-O-N

R-E-V-O-L-U-T-I-O-N

By John Kaniecki

R is for the righteousness of our fight
E is for the evil that permeates this place
V is for the victory on which we set our sight
O is for the overwhelming odds we face
L is for the love that we show one another
U is for the undeniable force we possess
T is for the talents we will discover
I is for that ignorance that we must address
O is for oppression the foulest crime
N is for now, as now is the time

Lady Hannibal

Lady Hannibal

Her voice rises loud
She is heard
Over the noisy crowd

Dark brown her smooth skin
Her word
Comes from deep within

Ancestors
Some humble, some brave
An Egyptian Pharaoh
And a galley slave

No justice no peace!
No justice no peace!!
The cries do not cease!

My blue eyes penetrate her soul
History, lessons, they guide
Lady Hannibal
I stand by her side

Bitter cold fingers numb
We speak bold
We shall overcome!
But out on the street
Without heat
We are so few
What can we do?

Lady Hannibal
Presses at my side
She flashes me a smile
My heart beats hot
And the bitterness is forgot
For a while

The tea touches the tongue
We congregate
None of us are young
We debate
Apathy, hopelessness, despair
Does anybody care?
If they do
Why are we so few?

Theories, opinions, thoughts, we exchange
The world is going to hell
We have to change, but how to break the spell?
I nibble on a cookie
Insatiable hunger
Desire does increase
NO JUSTICE NO PEACE!

Lady Hannibal breaks the gloom
Chasing away vultures of doom
We hang on every syllable
Food for the soul
Her laughing lips illuminate light
“How can we fail when we are in the right?”

Ghetto defender, warrior of the street
In winter freeze drawing the heat
Lady Hannibal has crossed the line
She has embraced the oppressed
And called them mine
Angel divine,
Demon too!
All depending on your point of view

Lady Hannibal she cannot fail
Poverty, brutality, ridicule, jail
Justice is an endless quest
Righteousness rewards no rest
Battle, war, it takes it toll
Perfection is an impossible goal
So we seek to rise above
In service to Love

Lady Hannibal I admire
Lady Hannibal I desire
Even if I were blind
I am sure I would find
Your light

Her voice is not alone
Our cries
Rise to God’s throne
Father in control
Bless Lady Hannibal
Make it right

In The Mind Of Maggoo

"In The Mind of Maggoo" is a horror book. Our poor hero Maggoo lives in a nursing home paralyzed unable to move a muscle. But his mind is dynamic full of stupendous dreams. Will Maggoo's seedy past of wickedness catch up with him or will he cheat the fates one more time? What exactly is in the Mind of Maggoo?"

Listen To What The Critics Have Been Saying

Mark Twain “This is the best book I’ve read in decades. But being dead I haven’t been doing a lot of reading.”

God “Next to the Bible, I’d have to say “In The Mind Of Maggoo" is the best book ever written! And you know I always tell you the truth!”

Aristotle “I know I was wrong on so many things like gravity. But forget all that and go buy a copy of “In The Mind Of Maggoo.”

John Kaniecki “This is a great book without a doubt, one may say the book of the century. Though I may be a little biased because I wrote it.”
