I am an angel afraid to fly
I am a mortal scared to die
I am the Creator in fear of
creation
I am a sinner scorning
salvation
Oh Lord hear my lonesome cry
Oh see my pitiful state
Unfathomable mysteries to
contemplate
Try as I might try
I cannot soothe my soul
Or be whole
