The Disappearing Act

The Disappearing Act

Center stage

No one denies it was an act of rage

Hiding behind a Bush

Giving things a push

There stood the mysterious Houdini

Next to him a busty woman

In an itsy bitsy teeny weenie yellow polka dot bikini

She had two magnificent towers

As I recall

The tallest of them all

I could stare at them for hours

The marvelous magician

Makes the first tower disappear

Without a hint

It collapses in its footprint

Twenty two minutes later alligator

The dastardly deed is repeated

And all the king’s horses

And all the king’s men

Couldn’t return the towers again

Honestly

Thank God for the double insurance policy

Never mind the expense for removing the asbestos

But I recall that isn’t all

Our marvelous woman

Now with a flat chest

Still had her marvelous treasure chest

But despite no act by Houdini

She lost the bottom of her bikini

All in all

The panties falling in freefall

Her vaginal hair shaped in the number seven

This is the hidden story of  Nine Eleven

Next time you visit an engineering school

Educate yourself you fool

Ask a PhD in structural engineering

The physics behind the three buildings disappearing

September eleventh is a day dark and black

The disappearing act

Was an inside attack

And to settle the alleged score

We got more war that’s for sure

Firm in our resolve

Attacking countries not involved

Calvary

Calvary

Time is a ripple of the deep abyss

Jesus friendless was betrayed by a kiss

The rhythm of the hammer keeping time

Was there ever more a horrific crime?

Lamb of God slain between two wicked thieves

Still mankind refuses no one believes

I vividly call giving the ghost

I was there till the end that is my boast

The Christ rose went on to prominent fame

And I returned to my whimsical game

Searching for truth in a world with no right

Looking for glory in an endless night

Snapping my fingers keeping up the beat

Abandoning melody is defeat

How many times did I want to surrender?

But I have faith I’m not a pretender

How it felt to feel them puncture my hands

A lesson in humility demands

An answer for the deepest of questions

But there is a truth no one mentions

It was all planned long before creation

With much forethought and deep meditation

Kiss me lover for fleeting changes come

And I must bring to Earth our God’s kingdom

Debate these words argue so profusely

Love me intensely but hold on loosely

Or you too may find yourself crucified

A reality not to be denied

Like a banjo string constantly humming

Banging, banging, cruel carpenter’s drumming

There would never have been a Cavalry

If sin’s evil was not authority

Philosophers of State

Philosophers of State

A far away galaxy shimmering in shyness

In haunting taunting darkness lost in bliss

Two lovers recover swearing no more of this

Reconciliation is the sweetest form of kiss

I look to heaven from a particular point of view

The world has gone crazy and yes that means you

Jets fighters roaring, Jet bombers soaring

How many slain is the method of scoring

While Judas covets an alabaster flask

And every politician puts on the perfect mask

So where do we turn? How do we learn?

Never mind says the CEO it’s none of your concern

While all the crops are synthetically made

Computer digits is the popular currency paid

There is nowhere to run and just one place to hide

The lines are drawn choose an ambiguous side

Earth First seeks blood to quench its thirst

But I know killing for Jesus equals the worst

And I am but a poet observing the ride

Come speak the truth and you’ll be crucified

Every angle is formed by only two lines meeting

So to bread and medicine I send my greeting

All the so called hoodlums would have been blown away

If it weren’t for the fact that bodies decay

Yet every reality is conformed by the mind

In Jack the Ripper cruelty they find themselves kind

So shoot a satellite to Jupitar and leave us behind

In your own heart lay the treasures you wish to find

Unfortunately the fortunate are foolish and blind

But hey I say haven’t we seen this play before?

The one Hollywood made with the perfect score

Where all the names have been changed to hide the guilt

By slaves were the great Egyptian pyramids built

So I point to Manhattan with a nod of my head

Where philosophers of state proclaim

“We’d be better off if you were dead”
