What A Beautiful Brain

What A Beautiful Brain

                                                                                                              By John Kaniecki

This ain’t no school boy fantasy,

This is for real.

I’ve learned the lessons of history,

I know the deal.

Take it brother, take it all the way.

Its bitter cold but I wanna play.

Einstein made the bomb,

So he could blow up his mom.

Einstein he was insane,

What a beautiful brain?

Oh God how I love the night.

Oh God how I love the fight.

Dirt and shit and slime and grime,

Twisting the arms of Father Time.

All to get just one more dime.

And they say Wall Street ain’t a crime.

Einstein made the bomb,

So he could blow up his mom.

Einstein he was insane,

What a beautiful brain?

So if you believe in Love,

If you worship God above,

If you got one more song,

Sing it Brother, sing it strong.

Einstein made the bomb,

So he could blow up his mom.

Einstein he was insane!!!!!!!!!!!

What a beautiful brain……………………………………………………

Ghetto Blue

 Ghetto Blue

A little girl on the street

Trying to find some food to eat

Can’t you see her cryin’

Can’t you see she’s dyin’

Why don’t you help her Lord above

All she needs is a shot of Love

People pass with their heads turned

They should all want to learn about the

Girl with the heart of gold

The girl you should yearn to hold

The cold and naked truth

About the girl with the eyes of ghetto blue

This concrete jungle’s a mess

It churns feelings hard to express

It’s time to open our eyes

How many more must die

As I sit and sing my song

Hoping it can right a wrong

I share my soul for all to see

To those that don’t act kindly to the

Girl with the heart of gold

The girl you should yearn to hold

The cold and naked truth

About the girl with the eyes of ghetto blue

I long for the day

When the children can play

No worry of evil near

Live a life without fear

Maybe if we worked together

We’d be able to make things better

No more blood will be shed

No more tears will be shed by the

Girl with the heart of gold

The girl you should yearn to hold

The cold and naked truth

About the girl with the eyes of ghetto blue

No more blood will be shed

No more tears will be shed by the

Girl with the heart of gold

The girl you should yearn to hold

The cold and naked truth

About the girl with the eyes of ghetto blue

A Rap for a Real Revolutionary

A Rap for a Real Revolutionary

Bad news she softly said

Chairman Fred is dead

What was his crime?

What did he do wrong?

Being ahead of his time

And fighting too strong

The wind blows harsh in Chicago

Wailing woe

For the secrets it does know

We just wanted to be free

And live decently

She says between tears

As she hangs low her head

This is the worst of our fears

Chairman Fred is dead

Revolutionaries in truth cannot die

The question will persist

Why?

I insist

That we carry on

Though like so many others

Chairman Fred is gone

I salute you sisters, I salute you brothers

Let us not give up the fight

For one day darkness will be vanquished by light

That is the hope that is the dream

That is the motive supreme

Countless sorrows my heart has bled

Our martyrs’ blood like rivers flow

Oceans of agony is the pain we know

Chairman Fred is dead

We too must be willing to give our lives

That is how the struggle survives

The Hollow Men

The Hollow Men

They sleep but never do they dream

Angry men afraid of their own scream

What little they have they gladly share

With all their hearts so do they care

These are the broken men the hollow men

The thought after the prayer the soft amen

These are the broken men the hollow men

The huddled masses you have forgotten

Hopeless they are full of desire

Kindle awaiting a sacred fire

Ignored deplored the victims of hate

Soon is their moment just wait

Lies and truth we mix them so well

They offer heaven and deliver hell

It’s not the words but how they are uttered

It’s not the meal but that the bread is buttered

Come salute the flag and don the uniform

The streets are cold the barracks are warm

These are the broken men the hollow men

The thought after the prayer the soft amen

These are the broken men the hollow men

The huddled masses you have forgotten

Minds molded shaped as if they’re clay

For glory there is a price to pay

For the homeland we shall fight and kill

To our master we bend our will

These are the broken men the hollow men

The thought after the prayer the soft amen

These are the broken men the hollow men

The huddled masses you have forgotten

To my Sistah

 To my Sistah

Assata

Who defined good hair?

Or defines the styles

That we wear

And Assata

I believe that revolution

Is the solution

But sister I say

Not your way

No not with violence and hate

Hear my voice and contemplate

Assata

One day they’ll read this poem at my trial

And you’ll laugh like heaven and smile

For I have found the way to victory

Loving my enemy

Assata

When the time comes

And the generals are beating their war drums

Believe it to be true

I Love you

And keep control

Cause even Richard Nixon has God’s soul

A youth to speak the truth

And a song sung by Young

Sylvia’s Garden

Sylvia’s Garden

Before the sun rises in the end of winter’s death

With chilly hands and frigid breath

Working the soil with rake and hoe

Knowing come summer a blessing to grow

Carefully placing precious seed in pot

Each cherished child never forgot

Watered and watched until they sprout

Green little creatures coming out

Early spring, past the last frost

Praying to God not one to be lost

In the soil measured apart

With cautious hands and loving heart

Early morn to water with hose

Fulfilling expectations the garden grows

Repeating the watering in the eve

Love is doing what you believe

In summer heat a bounteous place

Smiles all over Sylvia’s face

Fresh lettuce and tomato to pick at will

Mother Earth sharing her thrill

Fall comes and we harvest more

Sharing with Trevor and Ron next door

Resting now as the labor is past

How the season has gone so fast!

Looking over the garden leaves in decay

I am confident of another day

Sylvia’s garden will reappear

As long as the Lord gives us another year

Marlene

Marlene

Hey Marlene heaven is no longer a dream

And the journey ain’t what it seems

The old rugged cross lies at your feet

The struggle now sensationally sweet

Gone are the turmoil, pains, and strife

In the Promised Land

You come to understand

The true meaning of life

Not a worry, not a hurry, not a care

You can personally deliver every prayer

Forever seventeen

In a place where numbers mean

Nothing

Infinite days to give God praise

Infinite hours to enjoy the reward

Reclining, laughing at the table of the Lord

Your cup overflowing

Intimately knowing the bliss of righteousness

Infinite seconds to simply enjoy

A perfect peace none can destroy

Walk around the streets of gold

See wonders too marvelous to behold

Take your beloved Eddie by the hand

Slow dance to the music of the angel band

Life itself is at your command

In heaven there is love at every bend

In heaven there are no strangers

In heaven there are no dangers

In heaven everyone is a friend

In heaven you are never alone

And God is the Light upon the throne

Heaven is an eternal joy which none can destroy

In heaven we are free

Heaven is beyond eternity

A place of grace where all the Faithful will be

So long and take care

We hope to see you there

Dark Skinned Color Girl

Dark Skinned Color Girl

I am a dark skinned color girl

A grand black pearl

I shine divine

A child of the Earth

Of unfathomable worth

I am of the soil

More precious than oil

Black is the color of imagination

Through me shines the light of salvation

I am one with the land

There is a connection few understand

Mother Nature she is alive

Through her we all survive

Africa she is where I dwell

Oh her grandeur and glory I can tell

We are the cradle of civilization

Humanity’s genesis

Knowledge’s origination

Of eternal bliss

I am ordinary

And most extraordinary

A common person

But know the lesson

I am not defined by my dark skin

But rather by the beauty within

Can you even see

The reality

Of me

I am a dark skinned colored girl

And that is absolutely wonderful

Beauty Of The Rainbow

 Beauty Of The Rainbow

I wonder if you know

The secrets of the rainbow

The colors shining in glory

Tell a story

Red is for the sacrifice

The blood that paid sin’s price

Orange is for the Spirit’s fruit

The blessings of the divine institute

Yellow captures the warmth of the morning star

Wherein lies the essence of what you are

Green is for Mother’s Nature serene

In it the Garden of Eden is seen

Blue is for the endless skies and boundless oceans free

The glorious shade of eternity

Indigo is for God’s royalty

The would mean you and me

Violet is a mystery

Hidden in a twisted history

So now when you look in the sky

You will know why

No more will God send endless rain

Though man act vain

The next time it will be fire

As Jesus returns to fulfill our desire

A Song to Share

 A Song to Share

In the darkest hour of the night

I am glad to hold you tight

With the promise of a new dawn

I gather strength to carry on

Hello I have a song to share

It comes from my heart with care

As sure as the sun in the day

I know Love and peace is the way

I see violence and ugly war

Do you know what we’re fighting for

Children dying mothers crying

My soul in gloom deeply sighing

I believe we can make it better

We just go to get it together

Hello I have a song to share

It comes from my heart with care

As sure as the sun in the day

I know Love and peace is the way

We’re all responsible for peace

It’s up to us to make hatred cease

One man what can he do

One man I’m talking to you

The longest journey has a humble start

Reach inside change your heart

Hello I have a song to share

It comes from my heart with care

As sure as the sun in the day

I know Love and peace is the way

Chasing the wind mad and blind

What the hell do you expect to find

A heart lusting full of greed

The world’s bursting in great need

You believe in God you have a cause

But your God is full of flaws

You curse the light you curse his name

Can’t you see it’s you I blame?

Sometimes I fall to darkest despair

Yet even the night with you I will share

Brothers on a journey hand in hand

I’m just glad that you understand

I carry your cross you can carry mine

In harmony we can cross the line

Hello I have a song to share

It comes from my heart with care

As sure as the sun in the day

I know Love and peace is the way

Wanka Tanka

Wanka Tanka

You don’t know my name but you can call me ‘Sir’

I’m the man who can stop all this war

I’ve been this way a time or three before

This is my last time

This is my last rhyme

So I’ll be racking up the score

You only see my shadow

They call me a ghost

They call me a spirit

Some dare say I’m a lie

But they’ll repent once they die

I Am swinging a mighty axe

Babylon shall fall

Along with Mister Trump

And all that will remain is the stump

I cry to the Lakota, Nakota, Dakota

To the Nez Perce

To the Apachie, Hopi and all the rest

I have many things to say

My people are the best

What we have forgotten from yesterday

We will relearn in yet a better way

The boats are loaded get your tickets to Europe

Somehow someway you’ll cope

We don’t want your demonic money

Your schools, your rules, your pope

These are fighting words I declare

These are fighting words say a prayer

When will God intervene?

Check out the scene

Do you desire a nuclear kiss?

An endless apocalypse?

Such are the wages of sin

When the missiles are launched nobody will win

Take a breath, relax

Hear the melody of a lonesome sax

We’re taking our lands back

You can resist

But it’ll be no contest

I Once Was a Fascist

 I Once Was a Fascist

I once was a fascist

And thought I was supreme

I was presented an eternal quest

Called the American dream

I was instructed to prosper and succeed

That accomplishment was to satisfy one’s greed

That money brought eternal bliss

Wealth was something not to miss

America too was noble and grand

Far superior to any land

We never lost in war we were far too strong

And we were always right incapable of wrong

From kindergarten on I saluted the flag

And of all of our glory I would boast and brag

Then observation testified I learned a lie

Irrefutable evidence came I could not deny

And inner torment raged in my brain

The agony surged and I went insane

I once was a fascist

But that man no longer does exist

He is dead, nailed to a tree

I once was a fascist but now I am free

Blues Lady

Blues Lady

I’m a blues lady this is my song

I’m a blues lady don’t get me wrong

Cleopatra she ain’t got nothing on me

I’m a blues lady and I’ll always be

I’m a blues lady this is my verse

Life could be better life could be worse

On the cross Jesus became a curse

I’m a blues lady this is my verse

I’m a blues lady these are my words

I’m a blues lady I will be heard

I’m a blues lady righteously proud

I’ll sing my song I’ll sing it loud

I cry with Moses set my people free

I cry with Black Elk for the lonesome Cherokee

I never stopped singing we shall overcome

I’m a blues lady I know where I’m from

I’m a blues lady of African birth

I’m a blues lady queen of the Earth

You stole my mother from the Promised Land

I’m a blues lady don’t you understand?

I’m a blues lady this is my song

I’m a blues lady don’t get me wrong

Cleopatra she ain’t got nothing on me

I’m a blues lady and I’ll always be
