My wish for Christmas

Is peace on Earth

Wasn’t that the promise

At our dear Lord’s birth

For peace on Earth I pray

We need it to survive

Join with me today

Help keep the dream alive

Peace only comes from Love

Not from guns and war

Do you know where I’m coming from

Become part of the cure

God in heaven wishes us well

We are His children one and all

He Loves us more than we can tell

Join the cause of peace, heed the call

The bombs exploding brought in the morn

Heart mind and soul all twisted and torn

Hell was screaming real loud hate will prevail

Look around and you will see evil’s tale

Just a refugee trying to flee

It could be you it could be me

Can’t you just feel their agony?

Just a refugee trying to flee

Down on Wall Street see the market soar

Drunk on blood it’s Babylon the Whore

All they see are the digits on the chart

They got a cash register for a heart

Just a refugee trying to flee

House in ruins no reason to stay

They walk the lonely road the winding way

Belly empty and their mind transfixed with fear

The sound of soldiers ominously near

Not welcome is the message spoken

On the roam no home spirit broken

As you have done unto the least of these

Hopes and prayers it puts you on your knees

God have mercy on the refugees
